The maritime sector has its own very unique set of rules, laws and quirks that can seem daunting.

We know how to help production companies navigate through the niche hurdles, happenings and bureaucracy that come with organising a shoot on or near boats.

Planning is important. From vessel coding and insurances through to best practice, risk assessments and check lists. We take care of it all from concept through to creation.

Marine Coordination

While shooting on and around water there are a lot of elements to consider.

The safety of everyone on set.

Effective weather forecasting and what it means for shoot day.

Coordinating multiple boats and ensuring the line between ship and shore is effective.

The logistics of the efficient running of a production while on the water.

Deep Blue have the knowledge, skill and experience to realise your creative vision and make the best use of your time while filming.

Ship Finding

We can source most types of ships, from the small to large. Brigs, Ketches, Schooners, Cutters, Luggers, Tugs, Steamers, Trawlers, Tankers… Well, it’s a long list! And we have built up very strong relationships with different vessels all over the world.

For ships that no longer exist we work with design teams and ar departments to achieve their look. This can be applied to a set or another ship’s hull for conversion.
